Diet-ish
I was curious of my caloric intake with burning 2000 calories today from my run. Even with my extremely fair share of pizza and other items(2000 caloric intake) I am still only net 300 for the day. I probably should eat more but I’m tired of eating, am full, and have nothing appetizing or healthy to eat in my house. First order of business tomorrow is grocery shop!

18 miles in the bagggggggg. Thought about the ice bath but started shivering from general sweaty coldness and decided a hot shower, although bad for the muscles, would be great for the soul.
Warm in bed, maybe nap…but we all know I’ll just lay restless in bed for 3 hours.
Better run report to come later.
18 miler tomorrow….ohhhhhh man.
Well it is beautiful out and i should have had a good 5 miler. But it’s Friday and I’m so unmotivated. I ran/walked/jogged 3 miles and called it good. I figure I’ll save my mental battle for Sundays 18 miler. Gotta pick your battles, right? ;)
I found a running group near me that I am going to join after the marathon. I figure I’m on a very specific schedule the next 5! weeks and I don’t want to push it too hard. Now that I’ve grown more confident in my speed and ability, I feel like I can finally join in and not be so self conscious. It’ll be nice to join a running community and meet others who share this crazy...

Three items:
A 5 year old I babysit commented that my body is all very skinny except for my big legs. Since I was wearing a skirt, my calves were the only part of my leg showing. I asked him if he was referring to my calves and pointed and he said yes and continued to explain the phenomenon of my shape. I had to smile and thought “runners legs.”
I don’t mind my big legs one...

Fly like an eagle
Ok, you know those moments when you are running and you just feel like you are flying, literally? Best. feeling. ever.
While training for my first marathon, I have been told by Hal Higdon to lay off speed work and with my shins, I take this advice seriously. But sometimes a girl’s just gotta run.
4 mile breakdown: 9:30, 10:30, 10:00, 10:30 resulting in 40:30 time. I know for a lot of you...
